I built this system for my own family first.
I grew up in a lower-income household. My parents divorced young; my dad drove for UPS and my mom worked whatever jobs kept a roof over our heads. I decided early that money wouldn't be a struggle in my future, so I chose accounting for the security it promised — and spent more than two decades in corporate finance and tax.
Eventually my wife and I reached the income I'd always worked toward. And I was surprised to find that making more money didn't solve it. Every raise grew our lifestyle, not our wealth. We weren't irresponsible — we were just still making manual money decisions every week, with no system pointing our income toward the future we wanted.
So I stopped hunting for another budget and built a system instead — one where every dollar had a job before it hit our account, and money moved toward bills, lifestyle, investing, and goals automatically. Everything changed. Investing became automatic. Surprises stopped being surprises. Our income finally started building wealth. That's why I do this: I believe one generation can change the future of the next.
